All architectural and structural newcomers spend their first 4 weeks training at the Atlas Academy, during which time they are assessed and upon completion individually placed into teams which compliment their personal strengths and skills. By carefully matching staff with suitable team leaders, we help both the individual and the team perform to the best of their ability. The Induction course guides the learner through a series of modules, including Technical and Software Essentials, Atlas Documentation Standards, and The Atlas Quality Management System.
Beyond Induction we continue to assess our CAD capabilities and provide targeted software training where necessary, through mentoring and classroom tutorials. Other development units include transition training, which helps each staff member to progress to the next level within our company structure, and regular technical seminars delivered by both our senior staff, and our full-time Technical Training Manager.
We deliver first class language training to our staff from pre-intermediate to advanced level, and we run regular English club activities such as quiz nights, movie screenings and debates. After one year, staff attending the English programme can sit the certified BULATS English language test, accredited by Cambridge University.
We believe soft skills are essential for the development of all our staff, from Support to Operations. Thus, we provide business skills training within a 12 month programme, equipping the participants with a wide range of managerial skills.
