Joe Woolf – Founder and Chief Executive Officer

B.Sc. (Hons), M.Eng, Sloan Fellow (LBS) 

Joe spent 7 years in the construction industry and a further 20 years in the oil & gas business, during which time he worked in locations around the globe, including an assignment to Vietnam in the early 1990’s. He returned to the region in 1998 to establish Atlas, with a goal to create an opportunity for the best and brightest engineers and architects to work on world-class projects with the industry’s leading practices.

Andy North - Chief Operations Officer

C. Eng, P. Eng, MICE, MCIWEM, DipEM 

Andy is a civil engineer and project manager by background with over 30 years’ experience in major global design, infrastructure and development companies.   Joining Atlas’ evolution as the premier BIM delivery partner to forward thinking architects, engineers and contractors, Andy’s experience on 3 continents provides a broad insight into the world’s markets and a balanced understanding of global cultures, sensitivities and Asian and Western business practices.  

Caroline Richards - Director of Operations

B.A (Hons), B Arch, RIBA 

With nearly 20 years of experience within the architectural profession, Caroline has worked through all stages of Project design and delivery; from preparation of tender packages, on site experience, design coordination and leadership through to Client briefing and liaison. She brings to Atlas her extensive experience of Project Planning, Project Leadership and Business Development along with her excellent client and key account management skills. In recognition of these abilities she was shortlisted Architect of the Year by Women in Construction Awards 2013.

Vince Di Battista – Director of Engineering

B.Eng, Chartered Engineer 

Originally from Melbourne, Vince has been based in Saigon since 2004. Vince has managed engineering projects in virtually every sector of the industry on projects large and small. While his primary skills lie in civil and structural engineering, he’s also well versed in MEP. Apart from Australia and Vietnam, Vince has overseen projects in Malaysia, Hong Kong and mainland China. Vince especially enjoys his mentoring and people development role as the head of Atlas’ engineering department.

Steve Read – BIM Director


Steve joined Atlas in 2010 to bolster the Atlas BIM delivery team. With a strong background in Revit spanning most sectors, and experience developing BIM strategies and execution plans, Steve is a valuable member of the team. Steve currently provides thought leadership, on-site training as well as BIM project management at Atlas.

Tim Clements – Director of HR & Admin


Tim moved to Vietnam from Australia in 2001. Prior to joining Atlas in June 2008, Tim headed the Corporate Training division of Apollo Education and Training Vietnam. He has been involved with training and people development since his management career began, firstly in the hospitality industry and then at Optus in Financial Services.  Tim’s philosophy on HR is to keep it simply, always be fair and open, always do what you say you will do and be reliable.   

Steven Halliwell – Business Development Director


Steven first started working with Atlas in 2000 helping to set up the UK office and successfully supporting the expansion of Atlas into the UK market sector. With over 12 years experience in corporate banking and 14 years experience in construction, Steven heads up the Commercial and Business Development team at Atlas. Previously responsible for the Atlas expansion into the Middle East, Steven is now based in our Saigon operations centre and is developing client relationships and the market sector in the Asia region.

Nguyen Thi Hoai Tam - Commercial Manager


Hoai Tam is a pivotal member of the Atlas delivery team specializing in Project Management, Design Development and Technical Standards. Since joining Atlas in 2005 she has managed multiple Teams on projects in the healthcare, residential, commercial, retail, hotel and leisure and education sectors. Her secondments with the UK’s leading architectural practices have further developed her professional skills and her appreciation for quality project delivery from a client’s perspective. In her current role, she is responsible for managing the overall resource of the company.

Dean Marsh – Group Manager


Dean has recently re-joined us after being with Atlas for over seven years between 2003 and 2011.  During that time he was Architecture Group Manager overseeing architectural teams working on a range of projects in the UK, Middle East and Australia.

Prior to re-joining Atlas, Dean was a Design Manager for an international multi-disciplinary consultancy, overseeing architectural, MEP and structural teams on a variety of projects in Vietnam, most notably the technical design phase of eleven elevated stations which form part of the Ho Chi Minh City Metro development.

Nguyen Minh Anh – Group Manager


Since joining Atlas in October 2002, Minh Anh has successfully documented and managed projects from design development through to construction documentation. He has spent time in client offices in the UK and has managed projects in the industrial, residential, commercial, retail, educational and mixed use sectors. Minh Anh is a highly skilled and experienced project manager, and as a technical skills champion, he provides valuable supports on the delivery of multiple Australian, UAE and UK projects.

Paul Fairley - Group Manager


Paul Fairley is a Chartered Architect with over 12 years post qualification experience working for an award winning London based Architectural practice. He has a high level of experience in residential design including most aspects of private, affordable and specialist housing. He has also been involved in the fields of education, commercial development and refurbishment.
An accomplished all-rounder, he has been Project Architect on projects from concept design, detailed planning, through to working drawings on site. He has strong credentials in regeneration, master planning, urban design, and ecologically sound and sustainable architecture.

Richard Curran – Group Manager – Japan Business


Richard has over 30 years’ experience working on a variety of high profile projects in the UK and more recently in South East Asia. His project portfolio is over a variety of sectors such as residential, commercial, education, leisure, laboratory, retail, transportation and heritage. Through these projects, he has attained wide ranging and varied engineering skills, which have contributed in establishing him as a versatile and innovative engineer.

Tony Phersson – Group Manager


Starting from a construction background, Tony has spent 27 years in architecture delivering retail, residential, commercial and healthcare projects in Australia. Four years were spent on various major construction sites for contract administration. Tony entered the outsourcing industry in 2003 and has been an architectural manager at Atlas  from 2007-2012 rejoining the team in November 2015. While at Atlas Tony has delivered some of the largest commercial and health care projects in Australia. Project build cost range is from $50m - $2b AUD with team sizes from 10-40 architects using AutoCAD, Revit and ArchiCAD.

Warrick Brown - MEP Group Manager


Warrick has recently joined Atlas having spent the last 12 years working as an  MEP Engineer in Western Australia. His areas of expertise are in Mechanical and  Hydraulic systems, with experience in Fire and Electrical systems. He was recently responsible for the specialist contractor delivery of all HVAC systems on  the AU$1.2bn New Children’s Hospital in Perth; as well as leading the BIM coordination team for this project. 

Simon Richards – Systems Integration Manager


Simon heads up the Atlas Systems Development Group and am responsible for implementing & maintaining successful client collaboration systems across multiple international platforms. He liaises directly with Atlas clients, ensuring coordination and collaboration between our respective IT teams to ensure server integration globally across UK, Asia and Australia. He also manages and reviews test scenarios with key clients on new and upcoming collaboration technologies such as Talon, Panzura and cloud platforms such as Autodesk A360 and Office 365. 
On a more local level, he is currently consolidating the Company's data by implementing cloud technology to enable our teams to work seamlessly wherever they are in the World, integrating IT, connectivity and Data Management into the Company's global operations. The update of our systems is part of Atlas' 3 year strategy: Rethinking, Planning and Researching new ways to improve our delivery and our communications to allow us to grow.
